Jason Picard

Dr. Jason A Picard is the Founding Assistant Professor of Vietnamese History and Culture. A historian of Southeast Asia by training, Dr. Picard received his PhD in History from the University of California, Berkeley and MA in Asian Studies from Cornell University.

Pranee is a medical anthropologist and has interests in the health of women, children, immigrants, refugees, older people, and transgender individuals. In terms of health issues, Pranee is very interested in issues relating to motherhood, reproductive health, sexuality, sexual health, mental health and chronic illnesses.

Dr (Jenny) Dung Le is an Assistant Professor in the College of Business and Management. Before joining VinUniversity, she has 10 years of teaching experience at various universities in Vietnam and Australia.

Tony Tin
Director of Library and Learning Resource in VinUniversity
Tony Tin is the Director of Library and Learning Resource at VinUniversity. Prior to his VinUni appointment, Tony was the Director of Library at Renison University College and technical lead of the University of Waterloo’s mobile academic integrity app project which won the international e-learning Award in 2018 and the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education Award in Excellence and Innovation in the Technology Integration in 2019.
Jenny Kyunghwa Chung
Assistant Professor in College of Business and Management
Kyunghwa Chung is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the College of Business and Management. She earned her PhD in Fashion Merchandising from Seoul National University. Her research focuses on retailing with interests in the omnichannel consumer experience and retail technology in the retail service context.
VRB: Kickstart is your opportunity to spend a week focused on learning the researching skills you’ve always wanted to tackle. In accepting this quest, you are in for an adventure featuring workshops, fun mini-events, challenges, panels, and more.
During the research week, different workshops will be organized for you to be trained and prepared for your final research proposal. You can pick and choose the workshops you want attend, based on your research topic and interest.
Interested Faculty will be invited to present their research so that you can decide who will be your mentor to work with and consult for your project ideas. We invite inspired speakers to give talks on their favorite projects, share experience, or important skills on how to conduct a research topic.
Hosting a Mini-Event is an awesome way to give students a break, add a little excitement, and have some fun! Entertaining games aim to be team-building games to strengthen the connection among every member in each team.
Level up skills and experience points by attending workshops and completing challenges. The challenges will vary in difficulty and category, but all will take you on a quest to learn something new! You will earn prizes based on your overall experience points
At the beginning of the Research Bootcamp, each team will announce the research topic that they will be working on throughout the week.
